Pro Tip: Leave Your Assumptions Out of It

Are many drag queens cis gay men? Yes. Are all drag performers cis gay men? Not by a long shot. Many drag entertainers are trans men and women, and many are cis women! Nonbinary or genderqueer folx also play with drag to subvert gender! Never assume, don’t ask if a queen or king is “a real girl” or “a real dude”. What all drag performers have in common is that they are people challenging, subverting and dismantling traditional ideas of gender by performing heightened versions of masculinity, femininity, and everything in between!

Meet the Performers

Emoji Nightmare: has been performing across Vermont and the region since 2015 and is one of the state's leading drag entertainers, having hosted, performed in, and/or produced the largest queer events in the state over the past decade. In 2017, she co-founded the Vermont chapter of Drag Story Hour and is the chapter director as well as a member of the national Drag Story Hour board of directors. She is a multi-year nominee and 2025 winner for Seven Days' annual Daysies Awards for Best Drag Performer in Vermont.

Rhedd Rhum: has been a Drag entertainer for over 10 years. Rhedd has graced stages up and down the east coast from Florida to New Hampshire and many in between. She's best known for her high-energy, dramatic, fun, and comedic acts. Forever a community advocate, educator, and mentor, she values getting folx to understand the impact that each individual can bring to the world by being themselves. Rhedd is and will always be "your friendly neighborhood Drag Queen."

Sasha Sriracha: is one of the spiciest queens on the scene. She started performing on a whim nearly six years ago and is so glad she did. As one of only two Asian performers in Vermont, she's here to make her presence known. Although a proud member of Vermont's drag family, Sasha has graced stages across New England, Quebec, New York, and New Jersey.
